The four artists of Motion/Fixity work in two genres, dance and the visual arts, who share an interest in performance arts, their objects, and in the places where they intersect. Rebecca Davis, Barbara Kilpatrick, Laurel Tentindo and Luis de Robles Tentindo share a belief that the objects in a performance have an existence both before and after their moment on stage. Following the live performances, the drawings, sculptures, photographs, puppets and videos will be presented as visual poems, remaining in the gallery.
